HTN has worked actively in the flood affected areas of Pakistan. In a short period of time through our partner international NGOs HTN funded and implemented a multitude of emergency relief projects. HTN responded to the shortage of health care through field hospitals and treated tens of thousands of victims. A 22feet by 72feet field hospital was installed in Sindh. The hospital operated primary health care facilities and replaced the area’s local hospital that was damaged by the flooding. As part of its emergency project, HTN provided an inflatable mobile hospital which provided treatment to 7014 patients in September 2010.
The victims of the flood obtained considerable food support along with access to facilities to provide clean water and aid hygiene.
Thousands of food baskets were distributed to tens of thousands of beneficiaries. The food baskets included basic food items such as oil, canned food, and beans along with a number of other items.
In addition to distribution in Sindh province, we distributed 150 winterization kits among the most vulnerable flood affected families in KPK Province. The provision of these winter kit allowed families to protect themselves from the harsh cold weather. Please donate generously to help those less fortunate then ourselves.
