Tabarek is an orphan living with her vulnerable grandmother and disabled brother and two other siblings in a cellar. She takes care of the family – she is only nine. Tabarek does not attend school because of her family circumstances. Distant relatives and neighbours help the family with food and a few other things but their need for help is greater.

Help The Needy’s Family Sponsorship Programme helped the family pay for the medication of Tabarek’s vulnerable grandmother and disabled brother. The future of her brother Abdullah is unknown as he needs an urgent heart operation – the family cannot afford it – the future of the family is unknown.
