At least 5 people died after flooding caused a house to collapse in Diyala. Authorities said conditions in Nineveh, Salah ad-Din and Diyala were “tragic”.

Heavy rain flooded the Mosul amid the city’s lockdown to curb the spread of COVID-19, this is now an added burden and a new challenge for peoples who are already suffering from the consequences of many years of displacement and financial hardship having lived under the control of extremist groups. The flooding has hampered the rebuilding process and overwhelmed the city’s sewerage system.

Help the Needy is reaching out to severely affected families and vulnerable people in neighborhoods along the Tigris River who were most affected by the flooding to provide them with basic daily necessities such as food and blankets. Please help us provide these families with as much help as possible by donating generously.
